Rococo (/rkoko/ or /rokko/), less commonly roccoco, or "Late Baroque", was a highly ornamental and theatrical style of ornamentation which accumulate asymmetry, scrolling curves, gilding, white and pastel colors, sculpted molding, and trompe l'oeil frescoes to make the illusions of surprise, goings-on and drama. It first appeared in France and Italy in the 1730s and move ahead to Central Europe in the 1750s and 1760s.[1][2][3] It is often described as the resolution trip out of the Baroque movement.[4]The Rococo style began in France in the first share of the 18th century in the reign of Louis XV as a reply next to the more formal and geometric Style Louis XIV. It was known as the style rocaille, or rocaille style.[2] It soon progress other parts of Europe, particularly northern Italy, Bavaria, Austria, other parts of Germany, and Russia. It moreover came to disturb the new arts, particularly sculpture, furniture, silverware and glassware, painting, music, and theatre.
