Rococo (/rkoko/ or /rokko/), less commonly roccoco, or "Late Baroque", was a severely ornamental and theatrical style of ornamentation which combination asymmetry, scrolling curves, gilding, white and pastel colors, sculpted molding, and trompe l'oeil frescoes to make the illusions of surprise, endeavor and drama.
