Rococo (/rkoko/ or /rokko/), less commonly roccoco, or "Late Baroque", was a deeply ornamental and theatrical style of ornamentation which combined asymmetry, scrolling curves, gilding, white and pastel colors, sculpted molding, and trompe l'oeil frescoes to create the illusions of surprise, interest and drama. It first appeared in France and Italy in the 1730s and innovation to Central Europe in the 1750s and 1760s.[1][2][3] It is often described as the unchangeable drying of the Baroque movement.[4]The Rococo style began in France in the first share of the 18th century in the reign of Louis XV as a recognition adjoining the more formal and geometric Style Louis XIV. It was known as the style rocaille, or rocaille style.[2] It soon progress other parts of Europe, particularly northern Italy, Bavaria, Austria, supplementary parts of Germany, and Russia. It afterward came to touch the supplementary arts, particularly sculpture, furniture, silverware and glassware, painting, music, and theatre.
